What is The Play Patch?

The Play Patch is a sensory-rich playgroup designed for kids to explore and parents to pause. We offer a relaxed, open-ended play experience where little ones engage in sensory activities while parents enjoy a moment of connection and self-care.

Where and when do sessions run?

Indoor Sessions: Mondays & Wednesdays, 9:30 AM at Gympie Uniting Church (Hired venue, no religious affiliation)
Outdoor Pop-Ups: Dates & locations TBA (Play & Pause sessions only – no pamper services)

How much does it cost?

Indoor Sessions: $35 for 1 Adult & 1 Child (Additional children: $5 each, 0-6 months free)

Outdoor Pop-Ups: $25 for 1 Adult & 1 Child (Additional children: $5 each, 0-6 months free)

What age group is The Play Patch for?

The Play Patch is designed for pre-schoolers (0-5 years), but all ages are welcome! We want mums of multiples to feel included, so older siblings can join in too! We’ll have lawn games & activities for bigger kids while little ones enjoy sensory play.

Do parents have to stay?

Yes! The Play Patch is a parent-supervised experience. It’s a chance for kids to play freely while parents relax, chat, and connect—but you’re still responsible for your child’s supervision.

What's included in each session?

• Sensory play stations (playdough, potion-making, wet/dry play)

• Loose parts & open-ended play

• Music & movement area

• Tea & coffee for parents

• Air-conditioned indoor space & fenced outdoor play area

• Optional pamper services (book separately, limited to 10 per session)

What should we bring?

• A water bottle & a hat for outdoor sessions

• A change of clothes (some activities may be messy!)

• If you’ve booked a pamper session, come prepared (e.g., no makeup for facials).

How do I book a pamper session?

Pamper services are limited to 10 spots per session and must be booked separately when securing your Play Patch spot. Book early to avoid missing out!

How do I book a session?

What if I need to cancel?

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date with at least 24 hours' notice. If we need to cancel due to extreme weather (for outdoor sessions), we will reschedule your booking

Can I pay on the day?

Bookings are essential as we have limited spots available. Pre-booking is the best way to secure your place. Payment is taken in advance via our website.
